Appelboam et al. Postural modification to the standard Valsalva manoeuvre for emergency treatment of supraventricular tachycardias (REVERT): a randomised controlled trial. The Lancet, 2015.
A randomized controlled trial that demonstrated that a modified Valsalva maneuver that includes leg elevation and supine positioning at the end of the strain should be considered as a routine first treatment as it may be more effective than isolated Valsalva maneuvers alone.
